My DOIT pledge

The participants think about how they can make the world better through their actions with the DOIT approach in the next 4 weeks and record this on their DOIT pledge.

Journal

Keeping a journal is very useful for keeping track of your project. Your journal can be the place where you keep all your brainstorming ideas and the results of your research. It is also nice to record the reactions that you get from people, including constructive feedback.

Mind mapping

Mind mapping is a highly effective way of getting information in and out of your brain. Mind mapping is a creative and logical means of note-taking and note-making that literally "maps out" your ideas.

Crazy 8's

Crazy 8’s is a sprint method. It’s a fast sketching exercise that challenges you to sketch 8 ideas in 8 minutes (not 8 variations of one idea or 8 steps of one idea, but 8 distinct ideas). The goal is to push beyond your first idea, which is frequently not the most innovative, and generate a wide variety of solutions to your challenge.

Draw the problem

Picture the problem you want to tackle in a way that it becomes clear and compelling enough to make other people care so much they want to help solving the problem. This exercise will engage the group in finding a common purpose and spark them to solve the problem together.
